Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Bites to Share, our cookies, macarons and other desserts are freshly made to order. Many of our products are also customised or personalised specifically for each customer.
Because of the nature of our products, we have the following cancellation and refund policy.
1. Cancelling an Order
If you need to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at:
We will do our best to accommodate cancellation requests where production has not yet commenced.
Once an order has entered production, cancellation may no longer be possible because ingredients, packaging, preparation time and other resources may already have been committed to your order.
2. Custom and Personalised Orders
Custom and personalised orders require additional preparation and are made specifically for the customer.
This includes, but is not limited to:
character macarons;
custom printed macarons;
personalised macarons;
custom flavours;
event orders;
wedding orders;
corporate orders; and
other products made to a customer's specific requirements.
Once production or preparation has commenced, these orders generally cannot be cancelled or refunded due to change of mind.
However, we will consider cancellation requests on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the stage of production and costs already incurred.
3. Change of Mind
Because our products are food items and are generally freshly made to order, we do not generally offer refunds or cancellations where a customer simply changes their mind.
This policy does not affect any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Product Quality
If you believe your product is faulty, unsafe, not of acceptable quality, does not match its description, or is otherwise not what you reasonably expected, please email us as soon as possible.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement or other remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits those rights.
5. Event and Large Orders
For large orders, weddings, corporate orders, birthdays and other event orders, cancellation terms may depend on how far in advance the cancellation is made and how much preparation has already been undertaken.
For larger or highly customised orders, Bites to Share may provide specific cancellation terms at the time the order is confirmed.
Where specific cancellation terms have been agreed in writing, those terms will apply subject to applicable Australian Consumer Law.
6. Refunds
Where a refund is approved, we will generally process the refund using the original payment method.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Where payment was made through Stripe or PayPal, the refund may be processed through the relevant payment provider.
7. Deposits and Payments for Custom Orders
For custom or large orders, Bites to Share may require a deposit or full payment before production begins.
Where a deposit is paid, it may be non-refundable where the customer cancels after Bites to Share has commenced preparation, purchased ingredients or materials specifically for the order, or otherwise incurred costs in preparing the order, subject always to the customer's rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law.
Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with certain automatic guarantees when purchasing goods and services from Australian businesses.
Where a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may have rights to a refund, replacement, repair or other remedy depending on the circumstances.
These rights cannot be excluded by this policy.
